September 22, 2011Saturday September 24 – Carnegie Centre
New this year, a full day of readings and workshops at CARNEGIE CENTRE. Take part in a chapbook making workshop, an open mic poetry night, readings by Evelyn Lau (Living Under Plastic), Richard Wagamese (One Story, One Song), poets taking part in 100,000 Poets for Change, and more. Events take place between 11 and 7.
Friday September 23 – Banyen Books & Sound, Historic Joy Kogawa House
BANYEN BOOKS & SOUND – Enjoy a talk by Carolyn Herriot, author of The Zero-Mile Diet: A Year-Round Guide to Growing Organic Food. (6:30-8)
HISTORIC JOY KOGAWA HOUSE – “Make a Collage Button” with Laura Bucci and meet Susan Crean—Historic Joy Kogawa House Writer-in-Residence. (7-9)
